Tidak mau ketinggalan dengan ajang penghargaan video game lainnya Valve pun menyelenggarakan The Steam Awards 2020. Yang pemenangnya sendiri ditentukan berdasarkan hasil voting para pengguna Steam.
Dari hasil voting yang telah dipilih dari masing-masing kategori, Red Dead Redemption 2 game open world bertemakan wild-west garapan Rockstar memenangkan penghargaan tertinggi yaitu “GOTY” atau Game of the Year The Steam Awards 2020.
